I have a 750 k5 i am going to install a weisco 836 kit.I will be running a kerker pipe and K&N pods.Thinking about an upgrade on cam.cant afford to port and polish head right now.I was wondering if i will be wasting my money on a cam upgrade until i port the head? Thanks to all replies.

Ed,
welcome to the forum! Even without porting the head, a cam does make a difference and it is certainly worth the money.
From those cams which are still available new (Web Cam and Megacycle), I would recommend either Megacycle's 125-65 or Web Cam's 41a. In addition, call or fax both of them and ask for their opinions. The lady who answers the phone at Megacycle at times seems to be a bit too busy, faxing them might be better.

Hi,
currently, I'm installing a Webcam "63a" with Wiseco 836ccm kit,
ported head and stronger A.P.E. valve springs.
On my visit at Webcam in CA, they suggested me to take the 63a according to the rest of my engine setup. We'll see how it will work.

I called Web cams today and ordered a 41a as suggested by Axl.
I will follow up with performance comments as soon as i get the motor back together.I will end up with Wiseco 836 kit,web 41a cam.Dyna ignition and coils, kerker exhaust,K&N pod filters,For now.
Thanks for the suggestions,

The motor has been back together for over a year.Runs great and no issues after 3k miles or so.Getting carb jetting right was a pain in the as*
I would get head ported if possible.but if not i like the setup i have now.I can feel the extra cc kick with the additions i have made.No regrets at all.
Now on to the Rd revamp.
