Finally, I have the ones I was looking for, the CR 29's. Think that is sufficient for a, almost, standard engine. Now I have a question, is there anyone who can give me the 'basics' for the sohc750, jetsize, needles etc. Just for something to begin with.
Thanks, Rob

The CR 29s are just the right size for a stock displacement street motor.

As a starting point, I'd try 120-125 mains, and medium needles (N427-11Y90 or 12Y90) in middle or one notch up position.

Thank you Axl,

If I get her running I will put her on the bench for further fine-tuning.

Greetings, Rob

I have sold the CR's in favour of a Garrett T2 Turbo fed by a Mikuni HRS 42.

Axl,

do you have an idea what the float height should be - I have a (new) set of these carbs on my engine and I get some very different spark plug readings. 1st Looks ok, 2nd appears rich (really black), etc ..... - I suspect unequal float height.
Only problem is that I have no idea of what it should be.
Maybe you can help.

Many thanks,
Dave.

Hi Dave,

the float height for the CRs should be 14mm.

Hope that helps,
Axl
