<  Performance issues  ~  Alternator

Other improovment:
I puted the alternator on the lane and I worked all the circonference and the angle. Now it work without all the start gear. Result: - 2.2 kg.

Good work! Eliminating the electric starter and the starter wheel helps a lot, weitht wise.

How much did you take off at the diameter? Did you notice any change in the charging characterisics?

The diameter is the same, I've only polished the surface.
Non Changes on the charging characteristics.
Pay attention, 2,2 kg was lost only from the alternator so from the shaft... Electric starter are other Kg from the bike, but no so important like the alternator Wink

I posted a thread about it a while back. I like my electric start though, so I didn't go too crazy. I had the old style heavy alternator on mine, so it needed it.
