Hello guys.

Has anyone here cut off the rear frame brace on their cb750? (hump brace that connects the rear fender in place)
If I were to cut it off so as to have a flat seating area, would that have any effect on the integrity of frame?

I appreciate the feedback

Hey there,

Don't be afraid to cut that section of, doesn't do anything for the strength of the frame. I,ve done it and so did many others.

Good luck, Rob[/img]

You can cut that piece off but the frames do flex, when I used to race in the UK in the late 1970's the 750 stock frame would flex almost 2 inches at the rear, so I crossed gusset braced my frames to prevent that and it was really a good strong and trustworthy chassis after them mods.
