Finally, I have the ones I was looking for, the CR 29's. Think that is sufficient for a, almost, standard engine. Now I have a question, is there anyone who can give me the 'basics' for the sohc750, jetsize, needles etc. Just for something to begin with.
Thanks, Rob |

The CR 29s are just the right size for a stock displacement street motor.
As a starting point, I'd try 120-125 mains, and medium needles (N427-11Y90 or 12Y90) in middle or one notch up position. |

Thank you Axl,
If I get her running I will put her on the bench for further fine-tuning.

I have sold the CR's in favour of a Garrett T2 Turbo fed by a Mikuni HRS 42. |

Axl,
do you have an idea what the float height should be - I have a (new) set of these carbs on my engine and I get some very different spark plug readings. 1st Looks ok, 2nd appears rich (really black), etc ..... - I suspect unequal float height.
Only problem is that I have no idea of what it should be.
Maybe you can help.
Many thanks,
Dave. |

Hi Dave,
the float height for the CRs should be 14mm.
Hope that helps,
Axl |
