i am in the process of developing a race engine for my dresda, dyno test with 32mm mk2 amal smoothbores seemed to be producing very good power throughout the rev range, dyno test cut short due to blown headgasket, it was at 65rw bhp@only 6600 rpm!! the run was then terminated.
running 220 mains which appear to be slightly over jetted.
suspect 34mm carbs would be too large execpt for drag racing.

can supply photos of the setup if reqd.(neat linkage!)
regards

I am aiming to put the engine in a racing outfit. Outfit mostly finnished with a 812 using overbored 28mm standard carbs now at 31mm ish at the moment. i was looking to build the larger engine to see if it can be done.

It will be used for hillclimbing and twisty sprints.

Any photos would be nice to see.
I have a sort of 4 into 1 set of cables onto a amal throtle as inital rig up.

Thanks.

Nick
