Whatever track i go with my seeley, at least one person comes up to me and says i've got one, So with that in mind I'd like to hold a getogether at one of the classic bike meets next year, Because there are a good number in europe as well as uk, i want to select a venue which will attract the best numbers. perhaps you guys on the register can reply indicating preference of venue and if you will come.
may 70'cycle run croix en ternois, france
or
june dijon moto legende
or
july 2008 beaulieu motorcycle world, uk
or
august 2008 spa classic, belguim
or any other event which might suit.
once venue is decided i'll contact organisers and see what they can provide for us, and see if colin seeley will make an appearance.

Great idea! Keep us posted on the dates of those events when they are published and we'll see what we can arrange. My weekends are very busy with off-road racing (enduros) but if I can fit it in then I will! |

Great idea indeed! I would favor Dijon or Spa - the only fixed date I have so far is the Egli meeting on August 8-10. |

Spa would be my absolute favourite. Let me (us) know when and I'll be there.

Spa's fine with me, good choice. I am sure there are more of us who are just lurking. Once a date and place is set, I will also post it to some other forums just to spread the word... |

Has anyone seen a definite date yet for Spa? Some Google searching indicated it was at the end of June, but I can't find that reference again to link to it.
I've already had my first Seeley ride of the year ... it's still as great as ever. Now it's workshop time, need to check & regrease the head bearings & swingarm bushes, as well as repaint the fairing brackets (if the weather is suitable). Anyone else planning any work on theirs over the winter? |

There has been some confusion about the correct date for Spa. I will look up the definitive date this evening and post it here.
Work on the Seeley, yes: After the Seeley got an all new engine last year (836cc Arias, Megacycle 125-65, 31mm Keihins, ported head) I only took off the valve cover last fall to re-torque the head. But when I removed the cam towers, two of the bolts wich hold it in place snapped off.
So I had to take off the whole head, a good chance to swap the Yoshimura valve springs (which are just too hard, I don't need a redline at 12k+) for stock F2 springs aliong with titanium retainers, and change the 125-65 for a 125-25 cam.
I got the Ti retainers last week (from Kibblewhite), and will start reassembling the engine as soon as it gets a bit warmer (unheated garage, and temperatures around the freezing point here at the moment). |

so for those would like to meet and have a chat etc, please come and meet up at SPA BIKERS CLASSIC SATURDAY 5TH JULY AROUND LUNCHTIME.

Hi Andy,
I just returned from Spa, which was a great event, lots of bikes (including two Seeley Hondas), lots of people and lots of fun.
Unfortunately, I did not make it there before Saturday afternoon. I checked with the people at Classic Endurance Racing Team, but no luck connecting with you, unfortunately.
Cheers,
Axl |

Hi
I was there and did meet a couple of you. the classic endurance team had a lot of non team members sharing the pit that weekend so not everyone would have known me.
hope you had a good time
My next appearance is at the reims circuit de geaux in france 12/13 september with my black gold ducati ss bevel. seeley still without engine.
come and say hello if any of you are there.
