< Custom chassis ~ Unknown race frame - anybody seen this before?

I know it's not a CB 750 SOHC4 engine, but can anybody shine some light on the manufacturer of this frame? Any hints would be appreciated.

No idea on this one either- very interesting bike though. I've looked a few times and had quite a search about. Are we agreed it's a Z1000 engine? It's certainly a very high standard/ expensive chassis. However, is that the engine it was originally fitted with- the front engine plates look a different standard to the rest, and how many race bikes used pod filters? The chassis & some other bits are reminiscent of early ish Bimota, but that swingarm is not something I have seen anywhere. I'd date it around early 1980s, get some more info & I'll search about more. Is it the original fairing- reminds me of the RCB1000 ones. Oh, any idea what make those wheels are- never seen them at all.

More info please!!! Or just ship it over here & I'll look after it!
