Hi - can anybody advise me on a race camshaft? This is purely a race engine. Engine has J&E 836cc (12.5:1) pistons, oversize valves, Carillo rods, lightened crank etc. Dynoman? M3? WebCam? Megacycle 125x12?
Your advice is greatly appreciated. Phil |

I have good experience with both Megacycle and Web Cam. For racing, I'd either use Megacycle's 125-70, -20 or -x12 (which is the most radical) of the three. From Web Cam, I'd recommend their 63b or 63c.
Megacycle's cams are only available as hardwelds on customer cores anymore, they ran out of billets (hence it's -70 instead of -75, and -20 i/o -25).
Hope that helps

Do you have any experience of getting stock cams welded and re-ground to the specifications of Megacycle etc. A number of firms claim this can be done. Thanks for you advice. Phil |
