Hi Axel, need some help with my cr750 again. We have aquired some yoshi super rods, can you advise on the torque setting for the allen type bolts fitted? The bottom caps have a location stud for the shells, would I be right in assuming that we drill the shells for these or were there some special shells?
Hope to have it on the track here in the UK soon.
Regards, Peter c |

Hi Peter,
I would use a similar torque on the bolts like for the stock rods. I was trying to find some information from Yoshimura, but no avail . Actually, the right way to torque the bolts is to measure the bolt's stretch, which should roughly be in the range of .1 to .15mm. Lube the thread and under the head before torquing them down.
I don't know if Yoshi supplied special shells, but if they did, they will be extremely hard to find these days. I would recommend stock shells and drill these for the lock studs.
Hope that helps, |
